Mr. Dees is an attorney in SDM’s corporate group where he works with businesses and their owners on mergers and acquisitions, business formation and governance, real estate transactions, and estate planning.  He prides himself on helping clients navigate complex legal questions a skill he honed while serving as a judicial law clerk in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District.

John-Paul (JP) graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management and received his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline College of Law.  In law school, he was the managing editor of Law Review and a certified student attorney with a veteran law clinic and a federal Indian law clinic.

Outside of the office, JP is usually rock climbing, practicing yoga, walking his dogs, or spending time with family and friends.
